UCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an Executive Architect for the proposed Transit Yard EV Bus Charging station installation (Project #946517.01). This RFQ is to acquire a consultant team consisting of an Architectural firm and their sub-consultants to design an electric charging facility for the UCLA public transit buses in the Transit Yard at 11075 Kinross Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024. The Transit Yard uses compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel for all the buses. UCLA is committed to meeting the zero-emissions initiative and will convert all buses to electric currently, the transit yard houses 16 buses, which will be converted to electric charging. Precision Contracting Services (PCS) prepared Preliminary Cost Estimates in March 2023 based on a Feasibility Study and plans completed in February 2023. The design shall comply with the University of California Policy on Sustainable Practices.
