for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and plant and all else necessary to properly construct the West 9th Street Water Main Replacement and North Adams Ave Water Replacement, consisting of boring and trenching approximately 11,200 lf of 8" to 12" PV C water main, 150 water services and appurtenances Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bid bond or cashier's check on a bank whose deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in the amount of 5% of the Contractor's bid and must be payable without condition to the treasurer of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, as evidence of good faith of the bidder and as agreed liquidated damages to the City of North Platte, Nebraska. The bidder, whose proposal is accepted by the Mayor and City Council fails to enter into contract within ten (10) days from the Notice of Award and furnish acceptable bond to complete the work and pay for all labor and materials used, the amount of the certified check, bid bond or cashier's check shall be forfeited to the City. Each Contractor bidding upon the work described in this Notice, at the same time as the filing of the bid shall file with the Mayor and City Council of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, a statement that he is complying with and will continue to comply with fair labor standards as defined in Section 73-104 R.S. Nebraska, 1943, in the pursuit of his business and in the execution of the contract on which he is bidding. The City of North Platte, Nebraska, reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. The project shall be completed by December 31, 2024
