A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of a moon gate located at Green Spring Gardens (4603 Green Spring Rd. Lincolnia, VA, 22312) The work shall include the following: Clearing and grading, construction fence, concrete footing, natural stone moon gate structure and wing walls, seeding of disturbed areas. This is a lump sum Contract. Contract length is 320 calendar days. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to the Fairfax County Park Authority, Planning and Development Division, 12055 Government Center Parkway, Suite 421, Fairfax, VA 22035 via email at doug.tipsword@fairfaxcounty.gov at least seven days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the opening thereof. The procedure specified under Section 2.2-4330(B) (1), VA Code shall apply: .. the bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his bid within two (2) business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure All bidders shall comply with Article A-21, Fairfax County Construction Safety of Resolution, Information for Bidders. Bidders request for determination of eligibility to bid must be received by the County no later than fourteen (14) days before bids are due in accordance to Article A-18.E of Section A, Information for Bidders. A determination of eligibility may be requested only if a Bidder is subject to conditions in Article A-21.C of Section A, Information for Bidders. Bidders are to note that submitting a bid indicates acknowledgement that the subject project (the Work) includes mandatory General Contractor compliance and timely execution of all responsibilities and reporting requirements shown or referenced in the Fairfax County Prevailing Wage Ordinance and Virginia Code 2.2-4321.3 (latest editions).
