The City of Orange is requesting proposals from qualified electrical contractors for traffic signal vehicle detection repair services on an on-call/ as-needed basis for a period of two (2) years, with the option for the City to grant up to three (3) one (1)-year renewals. The scope of work generally consists of on-call traffic signal inductive loop detector services, including installation of or removal of existing and replacement of traffic signal inductive loop detectors and conduit, testing, and traffic control. The estimated contract amount is $30,000 per year, for an initial total of $60,000, with the option of an additional $30,000 for each year of renewal. The City neither warrants nor guarantees any minimum or maximum compensation to the Contractor under this RFP proposal agreement. Contractor shall be paid only for actual services performed under the resulting agreement at the rates and charges identified in the Fee Proposal. Requests for clarifications are due to Elizabeth Aragonez by 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2023. If your firm is interested in proposing on the Project, you may email requesting to be added to the Proposer List. Only the Request for Proposal document (RFP) received directly from the City will be considered official, as the City must track RFP holders in the event an addendum is issued. Any addendum issued will be provided to prospective consultants on the Proposer List. All proposers must acknowledge receipt of any addenda in the Cover Letter of their proposal. Hard copies are not available. Prospective consultants are advised to review all sections of the proposal carefully.
