DASNY is soliciting the services of a single prime electrical contractor to replace the switchgear and lighting located within the Ellicott Complex at the State University of New York University at Buffalo in Amherst, New York. The work associated with this project consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Replacement of main switchboard, main distribution panelboards, and associated feeders and branch circuits. Replacement of existing lighting and appliance panelboards. Replacement of existing transformer and associated feeders. Retrofit existing fluorescent strip lighting in corridors and stairwells with LED retrofit kits. Retrofit existing incandescent downlights with LED retrofit kits. Retrofit existing stairwell lighting with LED retrofit kits. Replacement of existing exist signs throughout building. Replacement of existing electrical room door. Removal and legal disposal of existing hazardous materials. Sealed bids for the above Work located at University at Buffalo, North Campus, Ellicott Complex, Spaulding Quadrangle, Amherst, New York 14228 will be received by DASNY at its office located at 515 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207. Each bid must be identified, on the outside of the envelope, with the name and address of the bidder and designated a bid for the Project titled above. When a sealed bid is placed inside another delivery jacket, the bid delivery jacket must be clearly marked on the outside "BID ENCLOSED" and "ATTENTION: CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS - JAMIE CHRISTENSEN." DASNY will not be responsible for receipt of bids which do not comply with these instructions. The work of the project is to bid as single trade prime construction contract in 1 of 5 Buffalo, New York. All corresponding firms must demonstrate experience in the completion of similar projects. One Contract will be awarded for the work of this project. The construction contract is estimated at $1,400,000 to $1,500,000.
