The City of Corwith reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Corwith. The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements in Corwith, Iowa, generally described as follows: Installation of approximately 21 LF of 2 inch water main and 4,849 LF of 6 inch water main using a combination of open-trenched and trenchless methods. Also includes new fire hydrant assemblies, new gate valves and miscellaneous fittings, reconnection of water services, reconnection to the existing City mains, driveway, street, and sidewalk removal and replacement, surface restoration, hydraulic seeding, fertilizing, and mulching, and associated appurtenances as specified and indicated on the Drawings. The project will be constructed in the City of Corwith, primarily on and along Wayne Street, McKinley Street, Elm Street, and Linn Street. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
