The City of Solvang is seeking a qualified professional to provide labor and specialized equipment as necessary to assist City staff in on-going custodial services. Question Deadline 10/27/2023 at 5:00 PM PT A. Daily Public Restroom Cleaning: Full routine cleaning, restocking of consumables, and inspection of the function of the restroom facilities of multiple restrooms open to the public in the downtown areas and two additional parks outside of the City Downtown area, 7-days per week 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM with very infrequent later times. Multiple cleanings per day may be necessary depending on the time of year or due to a special event. Most typically the restroom cleaning is scheduled once at 6:00 AM and another during the mid-day. There are three public restrooms in the downtown area. B. Trash Collection and Disposal: Collection of solid waste from the City trash cans throughout the downtown area and disposal at a City provided facility. There are +/-60 cans throughout the downtown. This is typically on a one to two times per day cycle with more frequent visits during busier times of the year. Included in this scope of work is the collection of trash on the ground throughout the City's three parking lots, the Centennial Plaza Area, and downtown streets along Copenhagen, First Street, and Alisal Drive. C. Routine Facility Deep Cleaning: Bi-weekly deep cleaning of the City Hall and City Annex Building on Saturday or Sunday. D. On-call Custodial: Custodial services as on-call as needed for City facilities such as the Veteran's Memorial Hall and commercial kitchen after large rental events. All proposals submitted shall become the property of the City and shall not be returned to the proposer. The City reserves the right to Reject any and all proposals . Contract Requirements The selected consultant must enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the City for provisions related to compensation, conflict of interest, indemnification, insurance, etc. The scope and estimated annual budget will be incorporated into the professional services agreement. See RFP Attachment A - SAMPLE City of Solvang Professional Services Agreement and Attachment B - Insurance Requirements. Furthermore, it is required that any contractor for the City comply with City Codes and have or obtain a City of Solvang Business License.
