Total Project Cost $30,000,000 Bowling Green State University (BGSU) is requesting interested firms to submit qualifications for Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) services for a renovation with addition of the existing Technology Building into the Technology Engineering Innovation Center on our Bowling Green campus. The Technology building is a 54,000 sq.ft. academic building, built in 1972, it sits on the north edge of BGSU’s science corridor between East Merry Ave. and Leroy Ave. This project consists of selective demolition of the existing Technology Building, renovation and addition for a new approximately 73,000 sq.ft. center. The new Technology Engineering Innovation Center will provide space for several departments of the University’s College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering, including various academic labs for robotics, advanced manufacturing, metals/machining, ECET, BIM/CAD, and visual communication labs, along with faculty/staff offices and support spaces that enhance 21st century teaching, learning, and office best practices. “Lab spaces” will be created as flexible and interactive, reflecting advanced manufacturing business concepts and serve as a synergistic launching pad for research prototyping. The project will be divided into three phases, with goals for the first phase consisting of selective demolition and renovation of the existing Technology Building with a new addition to the south to be completed Fall 2025. Possible additional phases for modular additions to the building will be determined as the project develops and may be included in this contract as required by BGSU. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to approve the CM’s selection of subcontractors and any supplemental terms to the form subcontract.
