Offerors may register as a City vendor online INTRODUCTION The City of Cincinnati, Ohio, (hereinafter referred as "City") is issuing this Request for Proposals (hereinafter "RFP") pursuant to the provisions of the Cincinnati Municipal Code (CMC), Chapter 321 and City Manager Administrative Regulation 23 for Professional Services, from parties (hereinafter "Offerors"). The Offeror shall provide a proposal for curbside recycling, collection, processing, other types of recycling or diversion, and related services of the thirty-nine (39) service types included in the solicitation (or as many as the Offeror can provide either itself or through a subcontractor). GENERAL BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION The City of Cincinnati ("City") Office of Environment and Sustainability's ("OES") mission is to lead City government and the larger community toward sustainability and the practice of good environmental stewardship, building a sustainable, equitable, resilient future for Cincinnati. The City is issuing this Request for Proposals ("RFP") seeking partner(s) ("Offerors") who will help it achieve its goals of diverting waste from the landfill, including decreasing residential tonnage by 20% by 2035, increasing participation in recycling diversion activities by 5% for residential and 20% for commercial by 2035, and 50% reduction of food waste going to landfills by 2028 and zero waste by 2035. The City is seeking Offerors who will work collaboratively with OES to design new and innovative programs to achieve its mission and goals, such as programs geared toward event recycling and valet recycling services for multi-family residences or possible food waste collection. As for processing, it is seeking Offerors to provide single stream recycling processing services on the Offeror's own site (or that of a subcontractor) or on a site provided by the City along with potential economic development incentives or an Offeror who may process yard waste and food waste into compost/alternate non-landfill product. The City is seeking Offeror that can demonstrate their ability to provide comprehensive recycling processing/ marketing services, as well as other waste diversion services, including yard waste and food waste. These services may be viewed independently and be proved by multiple Offerors or via a single Offeror if they have that capability.
