The improvements include the construction of water spray features, accent lighting, limestone features, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sidewalk, drainage piping, water service lines, electrical work, and restoration, all in accordance with contract documents, including Plan File No. 651-237/276, located at Western Gateway Park in the 1100 to 1300 blocks between Grand Avenue and Locust Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Engineer's Construction Estimate. $820,000.00 This project shall be fully completed not later than May 16, 2025, and in accordance with the attached Completion Provisions.. Time for Commencement and Completion of Work. Work on each improvement shall be commenced upon approval of the contract by the Council, and completed as stated below. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as specified by the Jurisdiction Sales Tax. The bidder should not include sales tax in the bid. A sales tax exemption certificate will be available for all material purchased for incorporation in the project.
