Verbal discussions and answers are not binding Question Deadline 11/27/2023 The Work included in the Contract is for the construction of improvements at the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant (SEWWTP), located at 9610 Kingspoint Road, Houston, TX 77075. This Package 2 project allows for the expansion of plant average daily flow from 10.2 to 15.2-mgd and follows the improvements made in the Package 1 project. The full and complete project scope is described by the contract documents consisting of all technical specifications, drawings, and other documents included as part of this bid package. The exclusion of any scope from this summary does not relieve the Contractor from fulfilling his obligation under the Contract. A summary of the improvements is provided below: 1. Mobilization - to initiate project start-up, as specified in Section 01502 and costs for bonds and insurance. This item also includes construction of temporary facilities as specified in Section 01504 and 01520 and site security as detailed in this section. 2. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan - including labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to develop, submit, and implement a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and control measures as specified in Section 01570 and shown in the drawings. 3. Reinforced Filter Fabric Fence as specified in Section 01570 and 01410. 4. 48-in Construction Sign as specified in Section 01582. 5. Civil, Yard Piping, and Site Work - including labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for site preparation, earthwork, and other site work to construct yard piping, manholes, roadways, access drives, sidewalks, fencing, final grading, landscaping and ground cover, and other site modifications including drainage ditches, detention ponds, pipelines, and erosion control measures, and all related work as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. New Influent Lift Station and Electrical Building - furnish and install a cast-in-place reinforced concrete wet well for a new on-site lift station with six pumps, piping, pipe supports, grating, valves and appurtenances, and ancillary equipment, as well as a precast concrete electrical building to house electrical switchgear and other components to support the function of the new lift station, as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. Reference Divisions 1 through 16 for this work. Cost shall be incidental to lump sum price for New Influent Lift Station and Electrical Building as noted in Specification Section 01270S. 7. Headworks Improvements - furnish and install cast-in-place reinforced concrete headworks addition and modifications including mechanical bar screens, screenings belt conveyors, , screenings disposal building, demolition and modifications of existing headworks, installation of manual bar screens in the existing screen channels, piping, weirs, gates, valves and appurtenances and ancillary equipment and electrical improvements as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. Reference Divisions 1 through 16 for this work. Cost shall be incidental to lump sum price for Headworks Improvements as noted in Specification Section 01270S. 8. Existing Aeration Basin Modifications - furnish and install modifications of eleven existing aeration basins and outlet channel including all structure modifications, piping penetrations, channel modifications, modifications to existing aeration piping to connect new aeration piping to existing piping and diffusers, and appurtenances and ancillary equipment as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. Reference Divisions 1 through 16 for this work. Cost shall be incidental to lump sum price for Existing Aeration Basin Modifications as noted in Specification Section 01270S. 9. New RAS Transfer Pump - furnish and install a new submersible RAS transfer pump with piping, guard rail, pipe supports, valves and appurtenances and ancillary equipment in the existing aeration basin splitter box as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. New Aeration Basins - furnish and install four cast-in-place reinforced concrete aeration basins including coarse bubble diffusion system, inlet and outlet channels, influent and effluent pipes, air piping, gates, valves, associated piping, appurtenances and ancillary equipment as well as electrical work as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. Existing Blower Building Improvements - furnish and install a new single stage dual-vane centrifugal blower with new valves, piping and appurtenances and connect to existing site aeration piping in the Blower Building No. 1. The blower will include a skid-mounted compressor, gearbox, main drive motor, base frame, oil lubrication system, remote-mounted local control panel, termination cabinets, externally located air-to-oil coolers, and all ancillary equipment as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. New Clarifier No. 226 - furnish and install cast-in-place reinforced concrete 135-foot diameter clarifier, return activated sludge (RAS) pump station, scum pump, drain sump station, and all related piping and appurtenances and ancillary equipment as well as electrical work as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents. Chlorine Contact Basin Improvements - furnish and install cast-in-place reinforced concrete chlorine contact tank addition and modifications including three new channels, installation of static mixers in the existing filter bypass channel, miscellaneous demolition, aeration piping and diffusers, piping, weirs, gates, valves, chlorine residual analyzers, and appurtenances and ancillary equipment as well as electrical work as shown on the Drawings and specified within the Contract Documents.
