Hamilton ES - Split System Gym Cooling - ONLY PREQUALIFIED POOL Various Trades PLA for work over 25K. Questions Due Date: Oct 10th 2023, 7:00 PM CDT. School will receive a supplementary cooling system to serve their Gym/Auditorium located on the 3rd floor of the original building. The system shall consist of a number of 2-ton capacity split system fan coil units (FC) located high on the wall within swing-open cage enclosures for safety. The associated Condensing Units (CU) will be located on the adjacent low roof and shall be either 1-to-1 or combined into no more than 3 FC to 1 CU arrangement. The units will be controlled by remote mounted thermostats within locked safety enclosures. Refrigerant piping will be run along the top of the wall below the ceiling and include all required valving, insulation, supports, heavy duty PVC jacket and wall penetrations from the space thru the exterior wall to the exterior CU locations on the lower roof. Fan Coil units shall be located high along both the North and South walls (3 EA), equally spaced. 3 cassette type units are to places within the ceiling space above the stage. 1 wall hung units is to be placed in the rear area of the stage, with the exterior wall and windows. Variations may be made to avoid existing elements within space. Support structures may be required to facilitate proper, level mounting of units. All refrigerant piping to include insulation, PVC jacket and be properly anchored to the wall and ceiling elements. Electrical and pipe penetrations to be made with pipe portal and properly sealed. Roof patching to be done by approved contractor. Environmental scope of work to be provided in separate document. A new local power panel will be added for connection of all of the supplementary cooling equipment required. This location will be determined in the field. A new breaker will be provided within the switchgear located in the Basement and run up to the new panel location. The proposal shall be submitted with the attached Bid Cover Sheet completed in its entirety. * Warranty information, when applicable, shall also be included & submitted. * All work to be performed during normal working hours. * If bid price is over $25,000 or more, bidder must be signatory to relevant union, per terms of the Various Trades Contract and Project Labor Agreement. * If bid price is over $75,000, you MUST include your MBE/WBE subs and relevant forms at time of bid.
