Project: Navajo Zoo Exterior Fence Replacement, at Navajo Zoo, Located 1/2 Miles East of Window Rock, Arizona; Rfp Bid No. 23-10-3136ks. Removal of existing 8 chain link fence exterior boundary fence for the Navajo Zoo and Replace with 10 chain link though most of the 2,400 ft. boundary. Install new fence posts throughout, and install decorative metal fencing along south boundary of Zoo. Interested Parties shall be subject to all applicable Navajo Nation and Federal laws and regulations. Interested Parties should contact David Mikesic, Zoologist, at Navajo Zoo, at (928) 871-6573 or at dmikesic@navajozoo.org, to obtain Request for Proposals (RFP Package). The RFP Package contains the necessary construction details, and all of the laws, regulations, terms & conditions governing this procurement and the Contract to be awarded for this project. Question Deadline 11/03/2023 Scope - INSTALLATION OF DECORATIVE 10' HIGH ENTRY GATE AT ZOO MAIN ENTRANCE The Navajo Zoo currently has an unassuming visitor entrance; the selected contractor will replace the chain link entrance with a more elaborate double gate system. This new entry gate will need to fit an approximate opening size of 16' and consist of two opposing swinging gates. Entry gates will need to be tight fitting and have a manual locking system designed by the manufacturer. Design and selection of products for the new Entry Gate will be approved by Zoo Manager prior to selection of materials and installation. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The selected contractor shall provide the following services and personnel to: o Provide/purchase materials, equipment, and labor for the removal and replacement of approximately 2,660 ft of existing 8' chain link fencing along the perimeter of the Navajo Zoo. o Provide materials, equipment, and labor to install new 10' chain link fencing with throughout much of the Zoo's perimeter, paying particular attention to join the fencing to the existing sandstone rocks. And installing two vehicle entry gates in the same locations as the existing ones; o Install 10' curved spear-top steel fencing along the southern boundary of the Zoo to replace the existing 8' chain link fence, and install a new visitor entry gate in the same location as the existing one; o Offeror must be able to demonstrate ability to successfully plan and execute chain link fence installation with competency per industry standards; o Offeror must commit to completing this project. o Offeror must have the materials and equipment to install fencings, or be able to obtain necessary materials within the project timeline, and must have the ability to haul away the old fencing material. o Offeror must be able to complete scope of work within 6-month timeline.
