A. Sidewalk work may be required at some sites to bring curb ramps up to ADA standards or due to proximity to street repair work. Contractor shall review each site with the Engineer/Owner prior to removals to determine limits of sidewalk work, if needed. B. At all locations, once pavement is removed for a patch, it shall be replaced within 3 calendar days and open to traffic within 10 calendar days of when it was first removed. Concrete shall cure a minimum of 7 calendar days prior to opening. At 7 days, the minimum strength shall be at least 85% of the required 28 day strength top place the street back into service. C. Project Site(s) and preliminary sizes. Work will be completed in order provided based on available funds. The work is generally described as follows: sealing of existing joints and cracks in the Village Streets. The village has been split into thirds for sealing of streets over three consecutive years. Proposals will include contractor qualifications and unit prices for street sealing work. All Proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit of $500. Bid Security to be made payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Ceresco as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and to make awards on bids which furnish the materials and construction that will, in their opinion serve the best interests of the Owner, and also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
