The Fort Valley Utility Commission will accept sealed bids for the construction and installation to replace the natural gas system on Hardeman Ave. and Valley View Dr in Fort Valley. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after bid opening date. All potential bidders must hold a current Georgia Utility Contractors License of proper classification and in full force and effect, in compliance with Act. O.C.G.A. 43-14. Contractor must be a qualified natural gas contractor under the laws of the State of Georgia and must comply with any Federal, State, and Municipal guidelines and regulations. Plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for review at the Fort Valley Utility Commission, Gas Department, during regular business hours. The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part is generally described as follows Natural Gas System Replacement - Hardeman Ave. & Valley View Dr, Fort valley The successful Contractor will be required to start construction by December 30, 2023 The Work will be substantially completed within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. A 5% Bid Bond is required, either by Surety Bond or check. The Fort Valley Utility Commission reserves the right to accept none, all or any part of the bid and to waive informalities or technicalities or to re-advertise as appropriate.
