The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking bids from firms to perform "on-call" as needed services for bridge deck expansion joint replacements as defined within these specifications. These services will be provided to SCDOT District 6 Specialized Bridge. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 10/25/2023 @ 12:00:00 Start date: 11/28/2023 End date: 10/30/2028. Dates provided are estimates only. Any resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". LICENSES AND PERMITS During the term of the contract, the Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining, and maintaining in good standing, all licenses (including professional licenses, if any), permits, inspections and related fees for each or any such licenses, permits and /or inspections required by the State, county, city or other government entity or unit to accomplish the work specified in this solicitation and the contract. In all instances where a task order or purchase order is estimated to exceed $50,000, the Contractor shall, within ten (10) days after issuance of the task order or purchase order and prior to performing work or engaging a subcontractor to provide the work, provide a Labor and Material payment bond in the full amount of the task order or purchase order, issued by a surety company licensed in South Carolina, with an "A" minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of "Best's key rating guide, property liability". Each bond must be accompanied by a "power of attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the performance bond.
