Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Sewer Lift Station 20 Upgrade will be received by the City of Bonney Lake until 10AM on Wednesday October 25th, 2023 , on the second floor of the City of Bonney Lake Public Services Department Building. The Public Services Department building is located at 21719 96th Street East in Buckley, Washington 98321. Sealed bids will be received by Deon Payne, Contract Administrator or Ken Gill, Assistant City Engineer. Work to be performed includes: Installing a polyurea spray liner in the wet well, wet well concrete repair, replacing the wet well top slab, replacing the floats with a pressure transducer, replacing conduit and junction boxes in the wet well, and providing temporary sewage bypass pumping to allow the wet well work to occur. Staff will be available onsite to answer questions about the project at a non-mandatory meeting onsite at 10AM on Thursday October 19th, 2023. The access road to Lift Station 20 is located between 21202 and 21204 81st Street East in the Springhaven plat. The City, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49 C.F.R., Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 23 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The City encourages minority- and women-owned firms to submit bids consistent with the Citys policy to ensure that such firms are afforded the maximum practicable opportunity to compete for and obtain public contracts. The Contractor will be required to comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities. Should the successful bidder fail to enter such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bonney Lake.
