Work performed under this contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment necessary to provide the completion of the Tohopekaliga High School Play Field Modification Project as shown in the Drawings and Specifications provided by Schenkel Shultz, dated August 15, 2023 Turf must be removed from all ball fields and base soil must be amended to meet specifications from civil engineer (included in plan provided by Schenkel Shultz) to allow sports fields to drain properly to avoid turf damage and washouts. Soil compaction and fine sand content was noted as a problem during construction and the recommended solution was not accepted. Lack of drainage was noted by the Engineer of Record during construction, but issue has become apparent with washouts along fence lines. We are often unable to mow due to soggy grounds from standing water.
