The City of Garfield is soliciting proposals for the Miscellaneous Recreation Services to provide professional services to the City. The City Manager/Mayor and Council may select one or more organizations based upon a fair and open process, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4, et. seq. In order to have a proposal considered by the Mayor and Council, an interested party must provide evidence that they satisfies the minimum requirements for this position and that they otherwise comply with the proposal requirements set forth in the City of Garfield's REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS section of the City's web site. If the proposal is to include overtaking of the aftercare/summer camp program, said contract for these specific programs would begin as of July 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025, with any remaining services to be in effect as of the execution of said agreement. If the proposal does not include these services, said contract would be in effect as of the execution of said agreement through December 31, 2024. The City of Garfield, Department of Parks and Recreation may accept proposals from vendors interested in operating a recreation program using City of Garfield facilities or other program specific facilities not available from the City of Garfield. The purpose of this packet is to outline the process for submitting proposals to the Department of Parks and Recreation for recreation programs. Submission of a proposal does not guarantee approval.
