Bids must be accompanied by a Bid , or other security authorized by law, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total base bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment , each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. until 72 hours before the bid opening upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $100 per paper set shipped UPS or FedEx Ground; or $75 per set picked up at the office or delivered digitally. The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for BUILDING DEMOLITATION FOR FOSTER CIRCLE HOUSING, PHASE II, for the Housing Authority of the City of Lafayette, Georgia, (the Housing Authority), as described in the Project Manual and shown on the Drawings, consisting of abatement of asbestos containing materials (ACM), lead paint, and other hazardous material in eleven (11) one-story buildings, followed by demolition of the buildings, foundations, and minor site features, The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all technicalities or informalities. If an award is made, the award will be made to the responsible and responsive Bidder whose Total Base Bid is lowest. The Successful Bidder must certify compliance with all applicable state and federal laws regarding maintaining a drug-free workplace and certify compliance with federal Executive Order 11246 regarding Equal Employment Opportunity. The Successful Bidder must comply with federal Labor Standards and Prevailing Wage Requirements (Davis Bacon Wages), and all other state and federal laws and regulations applicable to funding under rules and regulations of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The right is reserved by the Owner to delay the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of the bids, during which time the bids shall remain open and not subject to withdrawal.
