Description of Purchase: MDOT is seeking a Contractor to provide bridge inspection services for the current installed joints which are of Watson Bowman Acme (WBA) design and fabrication and contain proprietary componentry. There are different modular expansion joint suppliers but WBA personnel are the proper personnel to inspect the current systems and elements for proper wear and future functionality. The scope of work for the current modular joint inspection includes but is not limited to the following: o (2) each. WBA Trained Inspector-one day onsite o Eight (8) hour workday o Inspection of Expansion joints on westbound structure o Small tools budget o Comprehensive report with photos and recommendations o Non-destructive testing equipment o Travel and transportation Not in Scope: o Traffic Control-(Bluewater Bridge Authority to provide traffic control and below desk access). o Any item not specifically identified in the scope of work. o Removal, Installation, and field measurements o Concrete rebar or grout. Question Deadline 10/16/2023 Questions concerning the Invitation to Negotiate must be posted on Electronically. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
