Recycling and Organic Facility Sorting Line Anticipated Award Date: December 13, 2023 City Council meeting. The City of Bakersfield City desires to enter into an agreement with a qualified Contractor to provide labor for material sorting and other labor related duties at Citys Recycling and Organics Facility located at 2601 South Mount Vernon. The City of Bakersfield City desires to enter into an agreement with a qualified Contractor to provide labor for material sorting and other labor related duties at City's Recycling and Organics Facility located at 2601 South Mount Vernon. The term of agreement shall be in place for one year from the effective date of the agreement and may be extended in accordance with the provisions of this RFP for four additional one year periods upon City approval. Contractors Proposer's can submit a Proposal for providing labor. Please carefully review the Scope of Work as Contractors shall be responsible for providing manual labor work to include working around heavy recycling processing equipment, sorting contamination from organic waste, picking up litter throughout the facility, light cleanup work around processing equipment using shovels, rakes, brooms, and other similar non-powered hand tools, monitor at tipping areas and other light labor work as needed, as well as other manual labor duties described within, but not limited to, the Scope of Work. The Scope of Work shall include all items and procedures necessary to properly complete the task CONTRACTOR has been hired to perform, whether specifically included in the Scope of Work or not. The City of Bakersfield reserves the right to terminate this Request for Proposals after three (3) days notice to all prospective Proposers.
