The system includes door position switches, dry contact alarm inputs, passive infrared sensors, arm/program/disarm keypads, local alarm sirens, hard-wired telephone alarm output to the Owner's monitoring station (hard wired telephone output for alarms during "non-working hours") and connections to the Owner's data network system (data network connection for cell phone message indication when an exterior door is left open for a period longer than two minutes. The difference between "working hours" and "non-working hours" shall be a manual input to one of the arm/disarm keypads; all other indicated work. The Tabernacle Township School District Board of Education ("Owner") will receive bids for Intrusion Alarm System Replacement at Kenneth R. Olson Middle School and Tabernacle Elementary School, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Fraytak Veisz Hopkins Duthie, P.C. (FVHD), Architects-Planners Bids will be received for: Single Overall Contract (C047 or C050) All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by October 23, 2023, and sent to emailing cwoodward@fvhdpc.com, or by fax to 609-883-2694 or via common carrier to the Architect. All correspondence must include the Architect Project Name and Project Number referenced. The Architect is not responsible for misdirected or misrouted correspondence. Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety from a Surety Company stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC), prior to date bids are received. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Consent of Surety stating it will provide each bidder with separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract sum per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25. Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. the "Public School Contracts Law." All bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., Affirmative Action Against Discrimination (N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.). This project is subject to the NJ State Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 et seq. All bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. and N.J.S.A. 10:2-1. An Initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful contractor. (Form AA-201). Per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44, contractors and subcontractors must provide a Business Registration Certificate issued prior to the award of contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject all bids or to waive minor informalities in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Owner to do so. Locations: Kenneth R. The work necessary for intrusion alarm system work and the connections to equipment tied into such systems, including all work in accordance with drawings and Part-6 specification sections. 1) Also includes both administrative and coordination responsibilities. a) Contractor is responsible for all coordination between his/her work and work of the/all Subcontractor(s). 2) Work shall include power distribution and wiring for all indicated electrically operated equipment and fixtures, whether shown or not on drawings. 3) Work shall include demolition and removals, as indicated or required, to allow for new construction. 4) Work shall include reinstallation, cutting, patching, finishing and repair work associate with Electrical work, as indicated or required.
