The existing storm sewer at 1025-1075 Crest Valley Drive is composed of an 84 diameter culvert, a brick headwall, and an 18 corrugated metal storm sewer pipe that daylights at brick headwall. The 84 corrugated metal pipe culvert has extensive invert corrosion and some separation at the connection rings. The brick headwall is cracked, undermined, and settled. The 18 CMP is deteriorated due to extensive corrosion. This project aims to resolve the deterioration and settlement problems by rehabilitation of the pipe culvert, replacing the brick headwall with a reinforced cast in place concrete headwall, and replacing the 18 CMP with an 18" reinforced concrete pipe. The City of Sandy Springs reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities, and to make award in the best interest of the City of Sandy Springs. Bid Bond (5%) Performance Bond and Payment Bond payable to the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia, each in an amount of 100% of the total Contract Price, in form and with security satisfactory to said the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia, and otherwise, to be and remain in full force and virtue in law; and the Surety shall, upon failure of the Principal to comply with any or all of the foregoing requirements within the time specified above, immediately pay to the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia, upon demand, the amount hereof in good and lawful money of the United States of America, not as a penalty, but as liquidated damages.
