The Town has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit competitive proposals for a highly qualified, experienced, and licensed to Firms for the design, permitting, construction, testing of an Artificial 3D Printed Reef in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications for the Project. The intent of the project is to the development of two sites in the vicinity of the Town with the scale or footprint of approximately 15-20 structures to provide a combination of biological and artistic for an artificial coral reef deployment project. These structures will create fish habitat and provide an ecotourism opportunity to give back to the community. Structures could also include restoration (coral, oyster or mangrove) in the future. The sites are to be easily accessible for residents. This Project is located at North of Bay Harbor Causeway Island, in the Town Of Bay Harbor. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, design, permitting, construction. The scope of work for this project will include design, permitting and construction, construction management services, as well as inspection, construction certification. The Firm shall be responsible for designing, surveying, geotechnical exploration, preparation of completed permit submittal packages and procurement of all required permits for construction, construction phasing, maintenance of traffic and all other related work or services. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, part of bids, and to waive minor irregularities or variations to specifications contained in bids, and minor irregularities in the bidding process. The Town of Bay Harbor Islands reserves the right to waive any informality in any or all bids and to reject any or all bids. The following insurance policies and coverages are required: Commercial General Liability Coverage must be afforded under a Commercial General Liability policy with limits not less than: $2,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for Bodily Injury, Property Damage, and Personal and Advertising Injury $2,000,000 each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate for Products and Completed Bid Bonds: Bidders can submit bid bonds for projects in two different ways. 1) Bidders can hand deliver their bid bond in a sealed envelope to the Finance Department, Procurement 9665 Bay Harbor Terrace, Town of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida 33154, before time of bid opening, with the company name, bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope. 2) Bidders can mail their bid bond to the Finance Department, Procurement Services, 9665 Bay Harbor Terrace, Town of Bay Harbor Islands, Florida 33154, before time of bid opening, with the company name, bid number and title clearly indicated on the envelope.
