The Port of Los Angeles (Port) is inviting bids for the Terminal Island Facilities Demolition and Improvements Project consisting of 1050 S. Ways St. Starkist Demolition and Storage Lot Conversion, South Seaside Avenue Storm Drain Restoration, Southwest Marine Administration Building Demolition and Pavement Improvements, and 1025 S. Seaside Avenue Demolition and Lot Conversion. 1050 S. Ways St. Starkist Demolition and Storage Lot Conversion consists of demolition of buildings including asbestos abatement and lead remediation, structures, and timber dock associated with former Starkist Cannery, grading of site, installation of crushed miscellaneous base with stabilizing agent, and installation of permanent perimeter fencing and lighting for temporary equipment storage in accordance with Drawing No. 1-3391. South Seaside Avenue Storm Drain Restoration consists of construction of storm drain system in accordance with Drawing No. 1-3436. Southwest Marine Administration Building Demolition and Pavement Improvements consists of demolition, asbestos abatement, and lead remediation of 5,000 square feet wood framed building including foundation and grading and paving of site with asphalt concrete in accordance with Drawing No. 1-3455. 1025 S. Seaside Avenue Demolition and Lot Conversion consists of demolition, asbestos abatement and lead remediation of 10,500 square feet metal framed building including foundation, mechanical, and electrical equipment and grading and paving of site with asphalt concrete in accordance with Drawing No. 1-3486. All questions are to be submitted on the Port's CDBON website discussed above. Questions submitted less than two working days before bid opening may or may not be answered as time permits. Responses to questions will be posted on CDBON, which will be the only means used to communicate with Bidders other than by addendum. The Port assumes no liability for bidder's failure to attend the pre-bid conference or to review the CDBON website to obtain responses to bidder's questions. A performance bond in the amount of the full Contract price shall be provided. A payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of Contract price shall also be provided in case of an award in excess of $25,000. Q&A Deadline January 8, 2024, 11:59 PM (PST)
