Description: This Contract consists of milling, patching, and resurfacing asphalt pavements, and line striping at various locations in Howard County. This work may also include bridge approaches, and deep patching. The following roadways are under consideration at the time of advertisement for bid: o MD 108 from Mayfield Rd. to MD 175 2" Mill, 4" Patching with 19.0mm 64S-22 L2, 1" Wedge and Level with 9.5mm 64S-22 L2, 2" Surface with 12.5mm 64E-22 L4 o US 1 from Struc. # 130108032 (Near MD 32) to Guilford Rd. 2" Mill, 4" Patching with 19.0mm 64S-22 L2, 1" Wedge and Level with 9.5mm 64S-22 L2, 2" Surface with 12.5mm 64E-22 L4 o US 29 Southbound from Frederick Rd. to MD 175 2" Mill, 4" Patching with 19.0mm 64S-22 L2, 1" Wedge and Level with 9.5mm 64S-22 L2, 2" Surface with GAP GRADE 12.5mm 64E-22 L5 o Various Bridge Approaches, Departures, HMA Decks and Patching Anticipated. Locations TBD The locations are tentative and may vary depending on conditions and circumstances. The Administration reserves the right to add or delete from the above list. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. AC-STBG-NHPP-000B(821)E The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
