Contractors will furnish all material, labor, and equipment to replace the discharge lines that will go through the top slab of the pump station at PS#80 located at 329 Henry Brown Blvd, Goose Creek, SC 29445. The work is to include the following: 1. BYPASS PUMPS a) Will provide and maintain by-passing of the pump station for the duration of the project. i. Peak flow of PS 150,000gpd 2. DEMOLITION a) Remove existing pumps and re-install at end of project. b) Clean the wet well. c) Remove existing wet well discharge piping. i. Including base elbows d) Existing header to stay. e) Dispose of old piping and any other associated debris. 3. WET WELL PIPING a) Verify sizing and measurements for all piping and accessories. b) Supply and install new ductile iron wet well piping. i. Including new base elbows ii. Including new 45-degree flange offsets at discharge elbows c) Core holes (2) in wet well top for piping penetrations d) Install new link seal at top penetrations. e) Abandon (Grout & epoxy coat) old piping penetrations through wall and through slab on grade concrete. f) Supply and install epoxy pipe coating of piping in the wet well that meets BCWS pump station specifications. g) Supply and install new pipe support if needed. h) Paint new piping above ground with BCWS approved paint to match the rest of the header piping. Berkeley County is requesting bids from qualified firms for the piping of existing Pump Station No. 80 (PS080) located at 7735 Henry E Brown Jr Blvd, Goose Creek, SC 29445. The work for this station includes bypass pumps, demolition of existing pumps, and wet well piping. Bids over $100,000.00 shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid. DEADLINE FOR WRITTEN QUESTIONS: October 27, 2023 at 12:00 PM EST Offerors requiring additional information may submit their questions in writing. Questions may be directed to electronically . The deadline for submitting written questions. Verbal information obtained otherwise will not be considered in the awarding of the solicitation. Project shall be substantially completed within 420 calendar days of the County's Notice to Proceed. Final completion shall occur within 450 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages shall be applied as shown in the Agreement. A performance bond satisfactory to the county, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the county, in an amount equal to 100 percent of the price specified in the contract; and A payment bond satisfactory to the county, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in this state or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the county, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and materials to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided for in the contract. The bond shall be in amount equal to 100 percent of the price specified in the contract. The Successful Bidder shall agree that if the Work, or any part thereof, is not completed within the time agreed and indicated in the Contract Document that he shall be liable to the County in the amount as stipulated below for each and every calendar day the completion of the Work is delayed beyond the time provided in the Contract. A) Substantial Completion: The Successful Bidder shall pay the County $1,000.00 for each day that expires after the time specified in Paragraph 17 above for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete. B) Final Completion: After Substantial Completion, if the Successful Bidder shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, the Successful Bidder shall pay the County $500.00 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. Unless otherwise provided in the Contract documents, the Successful Bidder shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction equipment and machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation, and other facilities and services necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work, whether temporary or permanent and whether or not incorporated or to be incorporated in the work. The County reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities, to reject any or all Bids received as a result of this request, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this Proposal, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so.
