Building Demolition Owner reserves the right to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder most favorable to Owner, as determined by Owner. Owner also reserves the right to reject any bid or part of a bid that does not conform to the bidding requirements or to modify or waive all formalities and technicalities in a bid, or to reject all bids. Bid Security. Each Bidder's Proposal shall be accompanied by a security deposit of at least five percent of the Bidder's Price Proposal in the form of (1) a Cashier's Check or Certified Check drawn on a solvent bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and payable without condition to Owner or (2) a Bid Bond in a form satisfactory to Owner from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois with a general rating of A-minus and a financial size category of Class X or better in Best's Insurance Guide. The Village of Volo is requesting bids for the systematic demolition and removal of the buildings and ancillary structures on the properties located at 27470 W. Volo Village Road and 27468 W. Volo Village Road. It is expected that the demolition will be done expertly and result in no damage to adjacent structures, properties, or public rights-of-way with the end result being a level area with no material or debris left on the property, no subsurface void areas, and no remaining features of the building or foundation, as noted below. As described below and indicated on the attached surveys and aerial images, the properties contain: 27470 W. Volo Village Road 1.5-story frame residential structure with full basement; detached frame shed 27468 W. Volo Village Road 2.0-story frame residential structure; detached frame shed These are provided for reference only. The work shall include removal of all buildings, including foundations; structures; concrete or asphalt walkways and driveways; septic tanks; debris and other rubbish on the properties, unless otherwise specified..
