CR Number: 2102469 The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority ("NFTA") will receive bids on a general contract for the NFIA - Airfield Guidance Sign and Navigational Aid Rehabilitation, Project Number 12NA1903.The Work of this project provides for the removal and replacement of all existing airfield illuminated guidance signs and modifications to facilitate runway closure work for Runway 10R-28L. The NFTA reserves the right to waive irregularities, to reject any or all bids and to extend the bidding period. Bid security must accompany each bid and must be in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price if the base bid exceeds $50,000.00. Bid security may be submitted prior to bid opening either electronically utilizing Surety2000 , or delivered to the NFTA in an opaque sealed envelope. Details for electronic submission are provided on the NFTA's Engineering Branch website. In the event a bidder utilizes an offline bid but provides bid security electronically the electronic bid bond number must be submitted with the offline bid. The Contractor shall perform not less than 25% of the Work with its own forces. The project consists of one general contract with a single Notice to Proceed schedule. The time of completion for the project is 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed against the Contractor for its failure to complete the project within the time specified.
