o Install bollards at 7 MMSD Conveyance Sites to protect assets Shop-paint 6-inch diameter, schedule 40 steel pipe safety yellow (about 24 total, final determination in field) Excavate hole using non-destructive methods, such as hydro excavation (minimum 18-inch diameter, 4 feet deep) Insert hollow 6-inch diameter steel pipe (bollard), 3 inches from bottom of hole Fill and encase bollard with concrete (4,000 psi) Round top of bollard with grout plug and touch up paint, as needed o All other work shown in the plans and specifications, including, but not limited to, site restoration Bollard Installation at Various Conveyance Sites The Contractor will install bollards, using non-destructive methods, to protect MMSD assets at 7 conveyance sites. The Contractor shall restore the turf grass surface of each site to its condition prior to construction. At each conveyance site, a temporary lathe has been placed to indicate the approximate bollard locations. All questions related to this proposed contract, pre-bid presentation, site tour or interested bidders list must be directed in writing to Millie Neidhardt, eneidhardt@mmsd,com, no later than 7 days before the bid opening date.
