Salt Lake County (County), on behalf of the Aging & Adult Services Division (AAS), is soliciting proposals from qualified firms (Proposer/Contractor) to provide operation and management of the senior daily meal program at six separate senior centers. There are currently three senior centers operating a café model senior daily meal program. In addition, the County is in the process of remodeling the kitchens at three additional senior centers. Questions may be submitted through U3P until the deadline for questions submission which is October 25th, 2023, at 1:00 PM. Answers to the questions will be posted in U3P for everyone to view. Do not contact County officers or employees, or selection committee members. There are currently three senior centers operating a café model senior daily meal program, including: Draper Senior Center, 1148 E Pioneer Road, Draper, Utah, 84020; Midvale Senior Center, 7550 South Main Street (700 W), Midvale, Utah, 84047; Millcreek Community Center, 2266 East Evergreen Avenue, Millcreek, Utah, 84109 Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services operates 15 senior centers within the County, all of which provide a nutritious lunch to participants Monday through Friday, excluding government holidays. In three (3) of these 15 centers, that lunch is prepared and provided on-site through a model that includes a daily senior meal, an alternate daily senior meal, and an option to provide retail selections for the public ("cafe model"). There is the potential that other County senior centers that are adequately equipped to prepare and provide meals onsite may be incorporated into this same contract at a later date. Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services will be responsible for managing the contract with the awarded Contractor and assuring adherence to the nutritional and donation requirements of the Older Americans Act for the senior meal. At the same time, Aging & Adult Services will represent the needs of the staff and the patrons of the senior centers. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
