Reference Number 0000332369 The City is requesting responses to this RFP to procure the services of a qualified construction management firm utilizing the Construction Manager at Risk project method to build the Kentwood Community Center. The firm selected as a result of this RFP will provide both pre-construction and construction phase services, and work collaboratively with the City and its design professional's team through the course of design and construction. The CMAR will assume the risk of delivering the project through a guaranteed maximum price contract as well as responsibility for construction means and methods and will be required to solicit bids from qualified subcontractors in a manner consistent with City procurement standards to perform the construction work. Develop construction phasing and scheduling that will minimize interruption to the City Complex/project area 6. Provide alternate systems evaluations and constructability studies 7. Advise City on ways to gain efficiencies in project delivery 8. Provide long-lead procurement studies and initiate procurement of longlead items 9. Assist in the permitting processes 10. Participate with City in a process to set goals for DBE participation and implement a DBE program 11. Protect the City's sensitivity to quality, safety, and environmental factors 12.Advise the City on choosing sustainable building materials and processes 13.Develop and implement an existing utility investigation plan 14.Prepare and provide GMP packages for a phased construction scope of work 15.Document control for all communications, documents, submittals, etc.
