The City of Litchfield is requesting proposals for professional services to build and install an outdoor digital display sign mounted on steel post. Qualifications o Proposals will be accepted only from qualified outdoor sign builders who have built and installed at least 5 outdoor digital display signs in the last 2 years. Payment o Contractor will submit invoice once project has been completed. The city will remit payment following the first Thursday of the month. Project Scope o Contractor Shall build the support post with 1/4 " x 7" x 11' square tube carbon steel with 7" cannonball tops. o Contractor shall install a 96" X 36" (Watchfire) digital display board with 8mm full color in an aluminum weather tight sealed box. (provide alternate price for 10 mm) o Contractor shall install a 96" X 20" lighted cabinet above the display board with the City Seal/Logo and "City of Litchfield" with 12" letters in the center of the white polycarbonate Lexan panel. o Contractor shall have all exposed metal powder coated black finish. o Contractor will install the display board 6' from the bottom of the post. o All electrical service and drivers will be mounted within the steel post. o The steel post will be mounted with no less than 3' of concrete in a 12" diameter hole. The display board will be 36" above the ground when installed in the ground. o Contractor will supply service wire to the sign after installation and supply training of operation of sign. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to perform this project. The Contractor shall not be considered an agent or employee of the city for any purpose and shall be deemed an independent contractor. The Contractor shall be solely liable for any injury to persons, employees, property of the Contractor or property of others. The Contractor shall maintain contractor's liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for all services outlined and provide proof. The selection of a contractor will be based on the evaluation of the proposals. The City reserves the right to select a contractor directly from the written proposals. The award may be made to the most qualified contractor whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the city; all factors considered. Unsuccessful contractors will be notified as soon as possible. The city reserves the right to negotiate an agreement with the selected contractor based on fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed as well as the right to reject any and all responses deemed unqualified, unsatisfactory, or inappropriate.
