A purchase order from the Bedford County Department of Finance will be issued to the successful bidder acknowledging the award. A copy of these terms and conditions, specifications and the vendors' proposal form will become a part of the purchase order. Prospective bidders may contact Chad Fletcher, Director of Federal Programs, 931-684- 3284, or email fletchere@bedfordk12tn.net for any questions as to the specifications of the bid. Bedford County Department of Finance reserves the right to purchase only those bid items and quantities that conform to overall budgetary, functional, and performance constraints. The terms of this bid will be extended to other local government agencies, other municipalities, and Boards of Education. Bedford County is responsible only for purchases made and received by Bedford County. 1. Replace approximately 1,600 door handles/locksets on all occupied rooms (classrooms, offices, locker rooms, cafeteria kitchens, workrooms, any other rooms that routinely house students and faculty) with lever style door handles with internal, push button locks. 2. Hardware should be 6-pin Schlage or Schlage compatible hardware with conventional cores. 3. All locks should be set to a three key system: a. A district master that opens all doors in the district b. A building master that opens all doors in that specific building c. The individual room's key 4. This project should be completed by June 1, 2024. 5. Please bid this project on both a per lock at both an installed and uninstalled rate. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
