The major work for which bids are to be received consists of the construction of the items listed below: o Traffic Signal heads, poles, conduits, controller and cabinet o Overhead signage and video detection camera o Asphalt roadway, addition of new turn lane and driveways o Milling asphalt areas o Thermoplastic striping o Concrete curb and gutters o Storm sewer systems and structures o Rip-rap o Unclassified excavation and disposal of materials o Demo asphalt driveways, drainage pipes, concrete curb and gutter, etc o Erosion o Maintenance of traffic o Grading, seed and straw, and other incidental items related to the various elements of Work. The Contract Documents, Specifications, and Drawings will be on file at the following locations: Lynn Imaging (Issuing Office) 11460 Bluegrass Parkway Louisville, Kentucky 40299 (502) 499-8400, Town of Clarksville 2000 Broadway Suite 208 Clarksville, Indiana 47129 (812) 283-1431 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM M-F, R.W.Moore Consulting Engineers, P.S.C. 10213 Linn Station Road, Suite 3 Louisville, Kentucky 40223-5606 (502) 426-9842 and (502) 641-7853 (Mobile) RWMM00RE@AOL.COM Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Proposal Form with the Noncollusion Affidavit completed. All bids shall be Lump Sum and Unit Prices shall be provided as set forth in the Proposal and other forms that may be requested by the Contract Documents. All questions concerning the Projectshould be addressed to Richard W. Moore, P.E. at R.W.Moore Consulting Engineers. Bids may be held by the OWNER for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of the bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the Bidders prior to awarding the Contract. Should there be reasons why the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the OWNER and the apparent low Bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the OWNER, and to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the Bidder does not satisfy the OWNER that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time of the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. The CONTRACTOR to whom the work is awarded shall be required to furnish an acceptable Performance Bond, in any amount equal to at least ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the Contract price, and a Payment Bond, in any amount equal to at least ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the Contract price. All Bidders must comply with OSHA (P.C. 91-596) and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (P.E. 91-54). Small, Minority, and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids on this Project. Bidders shall obtain complete sets of the Drawings and Contract Documents and shall assume the risk of any errors or omissions in bids prepared in reliance on incomplete sets of Drawings and Contract Documents. The time for substantial completion of the Project is 120 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed.
