All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in favor of BOC of Forsyth County of at least 5% of the bid required by GDOT 102.08: Bid Bond represents that the Bidder, if awarded, will enter into a contract and furnish a Performance Bond, 100% full penal sum of Contract and Payment Bond, in an amount equal to 110% of the full amount of Contract, per GDOT 103.05 provided by law. Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the BOC of Forsyth County as liquidated damages if Bidder fails to execute contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified of award of Contract. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 120 days after the date of the opening. Bids shall be submitted via Bonfire. Paper bids will not be accepted. The BOC reserves the right to reject any or all bids. If the Contract is awarded, it will be awarded to lowest reliable bidder whose proposal shall have met all prescribed requirements. GDOT Standard Specifications Construction of Transportation Systems, 2021 Edition and applicable special provisions and supplemental specifications apply to the contract. Bidders submitting bids exceeding $2,000,000 must be prequalified with GDOT and provide required documentation. Bidders submitting a bid less than$2,000,000 must be a prequalified contractor or registered subcontractor with GDOT. Bids submitted in accordance with Title VI.
