Miscellaneous Curb Inlet Reconstruction By the City of Frisco, Texas. The City of Frisco ("City") is accepting bids for Miscellaneous Curb Inlet Reconstruction. The deadline for questions is October 19, 2023 at 4:00 PM CT. All questions should be emailed to purchasing@friscotexas.gov. For additional information concerning this Bid please contact: Steve Cone, NIGP-CPP, CPPB Purchasing Manager scone@friscotexas.gov 972 292 5542 Kelsey Luce Buyer kluce@friscotexas.gov 972 292 5541 The work to be performed under the provisions of these Contract Documents consists of the removal and replacement, at the correct grade, of curb inlet tops, throats, and curbs. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Prior to the start of any work, the awarded contractor shall: o Attend a mandatory pre-construction meeting at the Frisco Public Works facility at an agreed upon time and date. o Submit a complete schedule that includes a proposed order in which all repairs will be done. o Obtain a City of Frisco Right of Way permit for the project. Permit charges are waved for City projects. o Verify actual work location and elevation of all utilities prior to commencement of any work. o Submit mix designs for City approval. All inlet concrete, including throat and curb and gutter, shall be Class "P1" with a 4000 PSI, 28 day compressive. Scope Of Work o All tops shall be removed to a minimum of six inches into the vertical walls of the existing inlet in preparation for the placement of the new top. o Existing lids will be allowed to be re-used on the new tops o If an existing lid is damaged during the inlet top removal, it shall be replaced at the contractor's sole expense. o Contractor will be responsible for proper backfill and compaction requirements of all excavations using suitable backfill material. o Items considered subsidiary to the items on the bid form will include all required reinforcing steel, all concrete saw cutting, membrane curing for all placed concrete, saw joint cutting of pavement, joint sealing of pavement, trucking costs to haul off any and all removed spoils, trucking costs for delivery of any needed materials, any forms needed for concrete replacement, and any sprinkler and/or irrigation repairs/parts that are needed due to construction activities. o All listed inlets are located on residential streets and will require that the residents be notified of upcoming work in order to relocate parked cars and other items as necessary. This communication will be handled by the City's representatives. o Contractor will be responsible for any necessary irrigation system repairs and turf replacements due to irrigation repairs. o Contractor will be responsible to ensure United States mail is not interrupted. At all times, temporary mailboxes will be used, if necessary, to ensure the delivery the of US mail. o No inlet with a removed top shall be left uncovered and unsecured during overnight or non-working hours. o All concrete pours shall be scheduled with the City's representative in order to allow them to be present during the concrete replacement. o All concrete placed for pavement, regardless of pavement depth, shall be vibrated by mechanical means. o All existing throat subgrade shall be compacted in place to a density not less than 95% before any new pavement is placed. The City shall schedule any needed testing for the projects. o The unit price paid for each location shall include the replacement of the inlet throat up to 3 feet from the back of the curb, as shown in the attached City Standard Construction Details PROJECT LOCATIONS All inlets targeted for top replacement have been marked in the field. o 2535 Blackstone Drive o 1107 Deer Lake Drive o 10809 Copperwood Drive o Hansford Lane @ Sleepy o 9212 County Down Lane
