Notice is hereby given that Johnson County, Kansas, in cooperation with the City of De Soto, Kansas, and the Northwest Consolidated Fire District, intends to solicit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified and experienced firms to select a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for preconstruction and construction management services for the Sunflower Fire Station Project, a new 24,000 square foot fire station to be located near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and 102hd Street. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ No. 2023-063) is the first phase of a three-phase procurement process pursuant to the Alternative Project Delivery Building Construction Procurement Act and as authorized by the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners on September 28, 2023. Qualified firms shall Provide detailed information about their firm, including financial condition, safety program, insurance and bonding capacity: Demonstrate past performance of successful projects of similar size, scope and complexity; Identify key personnel to be assigned to the Project and the comparable projects these members have worked on together as a team; Provide a conceptual description of the firm's approach for managing and performing preconstruction phase and construction phase services as a CMAR; and Include any additional information on unique resources/other qualifications that differentiates themselves from other firms.
