The Bristol County Commissioners are seeking the services of a qualified General Contractor for Copper Roof Replacement Construction Services as defined in M.G.L. Chapter 149, 44A (2)(c) and M.G.L. c. 30, 39M. DCAMM certification required. Project Location: Taunton Superior Courthouse, 9 Court Street, Taunton, MA 02780 Project Scope (includes, but not limited to): existing conditions review, establish a construction schedule, demolition and proper disposal, all materials and labor. An award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. The Bristol County Commissioners intend to award a contract within 45 days of solicitation opening. Installation of new copper roofing system based on the following: 1) new 20 oz. standing seam copper roofing Copper roof system will include the following: Work to include the demolition and proper disposal of existing roof materials, removing all components of the existing systems. This includes cleaning and prepping the remaining roof structure for the installation of new materials. 1) Removal of the existing copper roof system down to the existing underlying wood plank deck material. 3) The Contractor is to provide disposal arrangements for removed components and materials. And include daily sweeping of all access and paved areas, and raking of grass and planted bed areas within 30 feet of the construction area. New roof work to include: 1) Low Slope roof: o Provide a fully attached 20 oz. copper roof system, inclusive of all appurtenances, clips, ribs and flashing components for a complete installation of new roof system across the entire roof area as indicated. o Fabricate and install new copper wall, edge flashing and associated hook strips. Tied into and set around curbs, edge, stepps, and associated valleys and ridges. o Provide new termination bars for attachment to existing solid masonry conditions. o Provide and install new pressure-treated wood nailers and blocking at roof perimeters for securement of new copper edge or flashing components. o Provide all sealants and mastics appropriate for the roof composition. o Bid to include all permits, staging, scaffolding and lifts, sealants, copper solder, and other required high-temperature or protective ice & water waterproofing materials. o Provide and install new pressure-treated wood nailers and blocking at roof perimeters for securement of existing or new copper edge, gutter, or flashing components. o Provide all sealants and mastics for the appropriate roof composition.
