1. Complete removal of all brush, leaves, and grass debris from the facility as need as determined by the Transfer Station Manager and Public Works Deputy Director. 2. The piles may contain inorganic materials in addition to the brush, leaves, and grass clippings. The Town of Wells invites and requests bids from qualified licensed contractors for the removal of all grass, brush and leave piles at the Wells Transfer Station, 386 Willie Hill Road, Wells, Maine 04090. The term "invitation to bid" shall mean the complete assembly of related materials, whether attached or incorporated by reference, which is furnished to prospective bidders for the purpose of requesting sealed bids. The Deputy Public Works Director will be available to review the area. There will not be a mandatory pre-bid construction meeting. All responses to this invitation and request shall consist of two copies within a sealed envelope and shall be submitted to the Town of Wells by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023. Any request for retraction must be filed in writing prior to 2:00pm on Monday, October 23, 2023. Requests will be honored by return of all sealed materials submitted. Bids will be opened at 2:00pm on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Wells Town Office in the Littlefield Meeting Room. The Board of Selectmen may act upon the bids at that time, or alternately may take them under consideration for action at a subsequent meeting. The Town reserves the right to select or reject any and/or all bids or bid components as may be in its best interests.
