Response to Questions by 10/25/2023 Holiday 11/10/2023 Veteran's Day Award Announcement Week of 11/13/2023 The University System of New Hampshire (hereafter referred to as USNH or Owner) representing The University of New Hampshire Facilities, is requesting bids for the supply, delivery, and installation of complete audio-visual systems in four teaching labs, three alternate teaching labs, eleven conference rooms, three classrooms, two auditoriums, along with digital directories and digital display boards. The desired timeframe for installation to occur between 5/1/24 to 6/14/24. 1 The CONTRACTOR is to install new audiovisual systems for six classroom/labs, three conference rooms, eight huddle spaces, a shared work lab, a student work area, as well as seven general purpose digital signs, six classroom/lab digital signs, and one digital directory as part of Phase 2 of the Spaulding expansion/renovation. 2. The CONTRACTOR is to reinstall and amend with new components one existing classroom and add/relocate components in an auditorium. 3. The CONTRACTOR is to swap out four existing Panasonic TH55CQE1 lab digital signs from Phase 1 with new TH55CQE2 displays rated for portrait orientation and use the TH55CQE1 units for new landscape digital sign locations. 4. If the OWNER elects to include the add alternate of three additional classroom/lab spaces, the CONTRACTOR is also to install these new audiovisual systems as part of Phase 2 of the Spaulding expansion/renovation. 5. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for verification of OWNER's proposed system designs, verification of equipment types and quantities, procurement, storage, transportation, staging, installation, and commissioning. Designs and equipment list included in bid package. 6. The OWNER's proposed system design drawings included in bid package indicate the general layout ofthe variousitems of equipment and their functional relationships, including line drawings and rack elevations. However, layout of equipment, accessories, and conduit systems are diagrammatic unless specifically detailed and do not necessarily indicate every item required for a complete installation. Provide any incidental equipment needed in order to result in a complete and operable system even if notspecified orshown on drawings without claim for additional payment. 7. Unless otherwise specified,supply only new equipment, parts and material, and protect all equipment from construction dust and debris until final acceptance. Operate only as required for testing as part of installation procedure. Provision of all manufactured components, installation, wiring, and testing isthe responsibility of a single contractor. 8. Provide integration ofOWNER furnished equipment and computers(OFE) identified in EQUIPMENT LIST and on DRAWINGS. Coordinate OFE locations with OWNER. Installation and connection of all OFE to be made by CONTRACTOR. 9. All primary audiovisual conduit and wireways are preexisting. These generally consist of conduits, floor boxes, both wall and ceiling mounted junction boxes, drop ceiling plenum, and plenum hallway raceways. CONTRACTOR to supply and install all other miscellaneous conduit, wireways, and j-hooks as needed to provide a complete and operable system. This will primarily consist of above-ceiling pathways between various conduitstubs, and ceiling mounted projectors, displays, speakers, and occupancy sensors. Exposed cables above-ceiling shall be supported in compliance with applicable sections of the National Electrical Code, latest version and installed in a workman-like fashion generally perpendicular and parallel to walls. 10. Obtain all permits necessary for the execution of the work. Comply with all applicable codes and regulations. 1. Installation: a. Installation of all items on EQUIPMENT LIST to code and to design will be the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR. 2. Control System Programming and Configuration: a. Creation and loading of processor program files, touch panel projects, IP tables, etc. to all equipment will be the responsibility of UNH LST. b. Audio Configuration of microphones, DSPs, and Amplifiers will be the responsibility of UNH LST. 3. Network Configuration a. Configuration of network switches will be the responsibility of UNH LST. b. Registration of equipment on UNH networks will be the responsibility of UNH LST. c. CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing UNH LST a list of component MAC addresses, serial numbers, and location for registration on UNH network and Crestron XIO. 4. Video System Configuration a. Configuration of EDID tables, scalers, etc. will be responsibility of UNH LST. 5. Commissioning a. Commissioning to be performed by CONTRACTOR. UNH LST will assist. b. CONTRACTOR to resolve all punch list items resulting from faulty physical installation of equipment, cabling, and/or connector termination.
