The Moose Jaw Municipal Airport Authority (MJMAA) is now accepting price proposals for winter maintenance operations for the 2023-24 winter maintenance season at the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport. This tender is for a 1 year contract expiring in the spring of 2024 with a contract renewal option for up 1 additional year (winter season Fall 2024-Spring 2025) at the MJMAA's discretion. Tender submissions for all or any part of the work will be considered. Winter Maintenance Operations include: Clearing and maintaining all roadways into the airport including the main road, and the hangar access road Snow clearance and potential removal of snow along all of the airport taxiways Snow clearance and potential removal along the main runway Other General Snow Maintenance Activites Questions can be forwarded to: Levi Wood (Board Member) at levi.wood@mjmaa.com Aviation Standard to be set by Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices -TP 312 -5Th Edition Snow is to be cleared from roadways, runway, and taxiways within 24 hours of a weather event. Snow maintenance activities must be done so that minimal or no debris is deposited on the runway/taxiway surface No individual snow piles near runway or taxiways can exceed the tapered height standard. Conditions Contractors are required to provide proof of Worker's Compensation Board coverage for all employees and provide proof of a minimum of $2,000,000.00 liability insurance coverage. Contractors are responsible for providing all required implements, operators, and fuel. As this is an active airport, contractors must possess a Radio Operators Licence and be able to communicate on an aviation radio. (provided by MJMAA) Contactors must be able to file a Notice to Air Mission (NOTAM) report when operating. (assistance Available) All heavy equipment must have a beacon light to maintain visibility. Contractors must acknowledge that they are wholly responsible for any damage caused to buildings, structures, aircraft, or any other infrastructure by these maintenance activities.
