The Lloydminster Catholic School Division of Lloydminster is requesting Proposals from qualified vendors who are interested in the supply and delivery of a creative outdoor playground to be placed at our Mother Teresa Early Childhood Centre. An accurate, detailed, and concise description of The Work to be performed by the Vendor, the owner, and all third parties in a project broken down into specific tasks and associated deadlines. We are looking for a qualified company to facilitate a supervised installation of the playground and surfacing. The equipment should foster the development of motor sensory skills and social skills. Equipment should include activities for both quiet and group interactions which are accessible and inclusive for all children. Proposals must include but not be limited to the following. a. A detailed site design to scale. Design details suitable for construction purposes must be provided including equipment anchoring and surface recommendations and options. b. Details and pictures of all equipment included in the Proposal. c. An electronic 3-Dimensional copy of the Playground layout plan drawings clearly showing all the equipment's model numbers, colours and dimensions. d. Detailed information on all on all manufacturer's warranties including length and extent. e. A minimum of three (3) references identifying similar project completed within the past five (5) years - See Section 4.4 f. Must include all design, equipment, and delivery costs to the jobsite in Lloydminster. Proposals should provide a detailed cost breakdown, itemizing the cost of each piece of equipment, protective surfacing, borders, and other related costs. g. Detailed installation instructions. h. All painted, coated or treated surfaces shall specify the type and products used. Final colour of the equipment will be determined by LCSD prior to the issuance of the Purchase Order i. A maintenance kit must be provided to LCSD to allow the undertaking of routine maintenance. The kit shall include hand tools, an assortment of spare hardware/fasteners, a maintenance manual, and touch up paint. The maintenance kit must also include any specialty tools that are needed for the installation of the playground specific to your product. j. All equipment and materials must comply to the most current applicable CSA Standards. A letter of compliance should accompany the bid. k. Designs should include equipment that is accessible and inclusive and suitable for a broad range of age groups with components that provide activity for age groups under 6 years and for the 6 to 12 age range. Please clearly indicate the intended age level and inclusive value of the equipment in the Proposal. l. Engineered wood fibre or rubberized pour in place is the preferred safety surfacing. m. Proper age level signage and labels are mandatory and should be provided by vendor. n. Delivery of Playground is expected no later than May 2024. The new playground shall replace the current playground. We will be looking for an inclusive structure that is geared towards the preschool to Grade 2 age group. LCSD has set aside an area of approximately 270 square meters in which to accommodate a new playground and rest area. LCSD reserves the right to: accept or reject any Proposal, to award a Proposal in whole or in part (for example, due to budgetary constraints), to award the Proposal that is in LCSD's best interest and not necessarily the lowest cost, and the right to cancel this RFP at any time without obligation.
