The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, upgrading the existing Montclair High School Varsity Baseball Field at the Aubrey Lewis Sports Complex. The existing baseball field is to be re-oriented and the natural turf is to be converted to a new artificial turf system. Work includes new bleachers, bullpens, batting cages, long and triple jump areas and other site improvements. The Contract Documents define the full project scope. Delivery by the time stipulated above of any bid submitted by mail or delivery service is done so at the sole risk of the Bidder. If any restrictions on the format of the Bid Opening are in place due to governmental orders or guidelines regarding the ongoing health emergency, information about the format and possible restriction of attendance will be posted on the District electronically Bidding documents will not be mailed, emailed, or be available for pickup or inspection. They may only be downloaded from the secure FTP electronically with access granted upon request. Bidders must email their request in writing. Note that it will take at least one (1) full business day to gain access to bid documents as a registered plan holder. Project information is also available on the Architect electronically a bid bond or certified or cashier s check payable to the Montclair Township Board of Education equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00 per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24, and (2) Certificate of Consent of Surety per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 . Questions will be considered only up until the inquiry deadline stated in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) in one of the following categories, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27.1, et. seq.: (C054) SITE WORK Bidders and subcontractors for each of the major branches of work specified in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18 must be prequalified by the DPMC. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any non-responsive bids or all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22 and to waive immaterial defects or non-material exceptions, that may be in the best interest of the Board. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as defined in N.J.S.A
