Addition of 12' tall streetlights along the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail from Catoctin Circle SE at the car wash to Catoctin Circle SW at Loudoun County High School. The project will provide a safe route for evening pedestrian travel while connecting residential areas to the downtown. As of October 27, 2023, this project is included in the Capital Improvement Program for FY2024-2029. Project is funded for FY2024-2026. Per owner, an engineer has not been officially contracted for this work yet. Design has not yet started. They are in the process of developing a scope. Construction won’t likely start until late 2024 or sometime 2025 if all goes well. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
