This Public Works Contract consists of construction of Owner's Myrtle St and 2nd Ave Valve Replacement Project located in the City of Half Moon Bay, California, 94019 within the City of Half Moon Bay. Work includes, without limitation Installation of approximately 60 linear ft of 6-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water main, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Replacement of eleven (11) 6-inch gate valves, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Installation of three (3) 6-inch gate valves, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Installation of water service lines and reconnection to existing water services, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Installation of two (2) fire hydrant assembly, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Abandonment of existing water facilities, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Connection of the new water mains to the existing 6-inch DIP water lines, as shown on the Contract Drawings. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or by a corporate surety bond on the form furnished by the District as a guaranty that the bidder, will, if an award is made to him in accordance with the terms of his bid, promptly secure worker's compensation and employer's liability insurance, public liability insurance, and execute a contract in the required form; and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Said check or bidder's bond shall be in an amount not less than 10 percent of the amount of his bid. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful bidder shall be entitled to submit securities in lieu of the retention of progress payments The Engineer's estimate of the construction cost is $231,605 The District reserves the right at its sole discretion after opening bids to waive any and all irregularities in any bid, and to make award to the lowest responsible bidder, and to reject any and all bids.
