The Municipal District of St. Stephen is inviting from qualified contractors, proposals for its Residential Solid Waste and Recycling Collection and Disposal services for Ward 2 - Consisting of the former Town of St. Stephen boundaries and for Municipal District of St. Stephen owned and listed properties. The proposal for residential services are initially for Solid Waste and Recycling services (Recycling occurring every fourth Tuesday and following schedule from prior contract) from November 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024. Beginning May 1, 2024 Recycling services will continue under a separate agreement and will not form part of this tender with collection services occurring that week suspended for the purposes of this agreement. Beginning May 1, 2024 only Solid Waste collection and disposal services will continue with the term of the agreement ending on October 31, 2027 except as otherwise noted in the tender document. Solid Waste and Recycling Collection and Disposal services for Municipal District listed properties are for the full term of November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2027. The tender will be for the period effective November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2027 and will be in the form of a Request For Quotation whereas factors, other than cost alone, are considered in the determination of the awarding of the contract. The lowest or any tender may not be accepted as the Municipal District of St. Stephen reserves the right to reject any or all tenders. In addition this tender is subject to a budget, and any or all tenders may be rejected if the proposals exceed the budget or otherwise do not meet the tender specifications. This is a Request For Quotation, however factors other than proposal price alone are evaluated to determine the appropriate submission, if any, that will be submitted to Council for approval.
