Bid Description: The project entails the reconstruction of thirteen (13) tennis courts at three (3) County owned parks in Columbia County, Georgia. The parks include Patriots Park, Riverside Park, and Lonnie Morris, Sr. Park. Project elements include milling and overlay of asphalt tennis courts, acrylic surfacing, court striping, new fencing, and court lighting upgrades. Grading and drainage improvements are included at each project area. The project shall be completed through a phased approach with Phase 1 improvements at Patriots Park being completed within 90 days. Following completion of Phase 1, Phases 2 and 3 may start at Riverside Park and Lonnie Morris Sr. Park. These improvements are to be completed within 90 days following the completion of Phase 1. Bids for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the electronic forms provided. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of Columbia County, Georgia, in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for Columbia County, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Columbia County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
