The City of Perryville is accepting sealed bids to install playground synthetic turf in the climbing rock playground in the City Park. If you have any questions, please contact Parks & Recreation Director Jim Cadwell or Parks Maintenance Manager Ron Henderson at the Perry Park Center at 573- 547-7275. The City of Perryville reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Scope of Project: Scope includes installation of prep boards, shaping, and turf installation, including any necessary seaming and infilling of turf as specified by the carpet manufacturer, typically 1-2 lbs./SF of fill material. Currently, the play area has a recycled rubber surface that has sections of the topcoat missing due to wear and misuse. This project will repair the existing surface areas through the installation of matting in the missing areas with the new synthetic turf and fill to be placed over the entire poured rubber surface. Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all materials, labor & equipment necessary for the completion of the project and the cleanup of all materials associated with the work. Synthetic Turf and Turf Fill: Install approximately 1,500 square feet of new playground synthetic turf onto existing play area. New synthetic turf shall be USA manufactured. Turf shall have a minimum face weight of 87 ounces per square yard, pile height of 1.25" and the rolls should be 15 feet, with perforations. The perimeter shall be cut back to install prep board and pins. Screenings shall be added to the perimeter, where needed, to fill voids. Padding (~3mm) shall be added to all areas where the topcoat is missing to create a smooth, even surface
